When we are young, our hormone production is in a more balanced state. Both males and females produce testosterone, estrogen and progesterone, just in different ratios depending on sex. As our hormone production decreases, we may develop a host of systemic conditions.

For females, this period of life is called Menopause. There is also a Perimenopausal period where women first start to notice issues. During this phase of life female symptoms may include: hot flashes, night sweats, weight gain, decreased libido, headaches, vaginal dryness, joint pain, nerve pain, anxiety and insomnia, just to name a few.

For males, this period is called Andropause. Symptoms can start in the mid-thirties and may include: weight gain, erectile dysfunction, decreased libido, loss of muscle and strength, brain fog, fatigue and decreased motivation. Our sex hormones are very powerful substances that regulate many different bodily systems. When hormones start declining, the simple fact is that we noticeably begin to age (interiorly and exteriorly). Replenishing with bioidentical hormones is part of the science of Anti-Aging.  This treatment is known as Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy or BHRT.

Hormone replacement therapy at Method Health is safe.

Our medical providers understand the underlying science, research, and difference between synthetic and bioidentical hormones. Unlike other clinics, our medical providers ONLY prescribe bioidentical hormones to ensure the safety and health of our members.

Method Health physicians have utilized extensive resources to become experts in this field. Our medical providers have specialized knowledge in the field of hormone replacement, hormone optimization, and anti-aging medicine.

There are a variety of symptoms you may be experiencing that could indicate you have low testosterone. Having little interest in sex or having difficulty getting or maintaining an erection are two of the sexual symptoms related to low testosterone. However, there are also more nonspecific symptoms such as low energy, depression, decreased muscle mass, increased fat mass, and decreased body hair. If you have any of these symptoms, you should talk to your healthcare provider about whether you may be suffering from low testosterone.

We are a private pay facility. The hormone replacement therapy and hormone optimization programs at Method Health are usually above and beyond the scope of most insurance plans.

The IRS allows Flex Spending Accounts for these services, and we can provide the proper documentation.
