Charity Guild of Fort Lauderdale

The Charity Guild is one of the oldest charitable organizations in Fort Lauderdale. We were founded in 1952 by ten women who wanted to help children in need. That is still our mission. We are a dedicated, all volunteer organization with an active membership of 48 woman and a privileged (supporting) membership of more than 60 women. We raise funds for both Children’s Diagnostic & Treatment Center (CDTC) and Kids in Distress (KID).

Wine Women & Shoes

THE BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS OF BROWARD COUNTY’S 1ST ANNUAL WINE WOMEN & SHOES There are few combinations that evoke glamour and fun as much as the perfect fit of Wine Women & Shoes. Broward County’s wine savvy, shoe loving women will kick up their heels and sip fine wines from participating wineries, enjoy brunch items from the Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort, and shop the latest shoes and accessories from fabulous fashion vendors all while supporting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County

FlockFest

FlockFest is a strategic non-profit fundraising foundation that partners with other non-profits for transformational change. We plan, manage, and implement events that achieve fundraising goals and mission impact. Flockfest Ft. Lauderdale raises money for several local non-profit organizations. The idea that started in 2015 with a small number of floats has grown to over 500 floats and 1800 attendees in 2018. We are so grateful for the 20 local corporate sponsors that helped make this possible.

Crossing for a Cure

The Crossing For A Cure is a long-distance endurance paddle challenge and international championship race that takes paddlers 80 miles across the Gulf Stream from Bimini in the Bahamas back to the Florida mainland. The event was inspired because of the incredible health benefits of the Ocean for those living with cystic fibrosis, a terminal lung disease. Travis Suit’s daughter Piper was diagnosed with CF when she was four years old. The Crossing For A Cure is a vehicle and mechanism for driving awareness, fundraising, inspiration, improved quality of life, and social innovation in the cystic fibrosis community. Through the Piper’s Angels Foundation and our programs, we are able to make a lifelong impact on the patients and families facing the challenges of this heart-breaking terminal disease. With every stroke of your paddle during your training and on the Crossing, you can hold this understanding and intention in your mind and heart. This is why we paddle.

A Prom to Remember

Since 2010, A Prom To Remember has partnered with many Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach County hospitals to give hundreds of teens in the South Florida area the night of their lives – their own Prom! Every year, hundreds of teens in South Florida and Cleveland experience something many of us take for granted – their Prom! This night is a milestone occasion, a reason to celebrate! There’s just something special about getting dressed up, riding in a limo to the Ritz Carlton, walking down the red carpet with a celebrity to the sounds of applause, taking Prom photos, enjoying amazing food and dancing to the DJ playing the latest tunes…there’s simply no experience like this!
