D3K2 Method
Supports bone health and boosts immune function
Convenient form of bioidentical vitamin D
D3K2 Method features the most bioavailable and bioactive form of supplemental vitamin K2 available and vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol), the identical form in which vitamin D is derived in the body from cholesterol and synthesized by sunlight on the skin. Studies confirm safety and efficacy for bone and heart health.*
What is vitamin D?
Vitamin D (also referred to as “calciferol”) is a fat-soluble vitamin that is naturally present in a few foods, added to others, and available as a dietary supplement. It is also produced endogenously when ultraviolet (UV) rays from sunlight strike the skin and trigger vitamin D synthesis.
Vitamin D obtained from sun exposure, foods, and supplements are biologically inert and must undergo two hydroxylations in the body for activation. The first hydroxylation, which occurs in the liver, converts vitamin D to 25-hydroxyvitamin D [25(OH)D], also known as “calcidiol.” The second hydroxylation occurs primarily in the kidney and forms the physiologically active 1,25-dihydroxy vitamin D [1,25(OH)2D], also known as “calcitriol.”
Take one softgel daily, or as directed by your healthcare practitioner.
Consult your healthcare practitioner prior to use. Individuals taking medication should discuss potential interactions with their healthcare practitioner. Do not use if tamper seal is damaged.
Adequate vitamin D is central to a strong skeleton. With time, even slight shortfalls in vitamin D may impact bone strength, as insufficient vitamin D forces your body to withdraw calcium from bones in order to maintain balance in the body. Several conditions affecting bone health may occur, including rickets, which affects infants and children and is characterized by improper bone development. Adults may develop osteomalacia or “adult rickets,” which causes bone and muscle pain; or osteoporosis, which is marked by the thinning of bones and loss of bone density, increasing the risk of fracture.*
